La perla de la ciudad de Alicante, el Castillo de Santa Bárbara es mucho más que un monumento histórico. En los meses de verano se convierte en un auténtico centro cultural de la ciudad con un programa para satisfacer a los más exigentes gustos.
De miércoles a domingo (20:15/ 22:00) podéis descubrir el castillo con las visitas teatralizadas que sin duda harán que viváis la historia mucho más de cerca. Además todos los días tendréis un mercadillo de artesanía para comprar un bonito recuerdo hecho a mano y muy original. Los más pequeños no podrán aburrirse con los talleres infantiles de martes a domingo de 19:00 a 21:30 además de actuaciones y exhibiciones de artistas a partir de las 21:30 en la Plaza de Armas.
Para los amantes de la música clásica que quieran disfrutarla en un ambiente cargado de historia y patrimonio, cada domingo habrá conciertos por la noche y los viernes 16 y 23 de agosto tendréis diferentes danzas para animar vuestra visita. Si sois más rockeros el 24 de agosto habrá un concierto de vuestra música favorita enmarcada en el Medievo del Castillo de Santa Bárbara y para la “Noche de Luna llena” del 22 de agosto además del rock tendréis una sesión de DJ´s invitados hasta la 01:30 de la mañana.
Y si os apetece llevar la experiencia más allá, os proponemos reservar vuestra cena medieval en el Castillo el 9 o el 10 de agosto, donde además de la mejor gastronomía de la zona, disfrutaréis de bailes, cacerías y combates propios de la época entre caballeros ataviados con su armadura que representarán los hechos que marcaron la historia de Alicante.

The pearl of Alicante, the Castle of Santa Barbara is much more than a historical monument. In the summer months it becomes a cultural center of the city with a program to satisfy the most demanding tastes.
From Wednesday to Sunday (20:15 / 22:00) you can discover the castle with theatrical visits that will certainly make you live the story of the place much more closely. Besides daily craft market will offer you to buy a nice souvenir, handmade and very original. The children will not be bored with workshops from Tuesday to Sunday from 19:00 to 21:30 plus performances and exhibitions of artists from 21:30 in the Plaza de Armas.
For classical music lovers who want to enjoy it in an environment full of history and heritage, there will be concerts every Sunday evening and Friday 16th and 23rd of August and also different dances for you to enjoy your visit. If you are rockers on August 24th there will be a concert of your favorite music framed in medieval Castle of Santa Barbara and the “Full Moon Night” in August 22th, Rock DJ’s sessions will be united until 01:30 AM.
And if you want to take the experience further, we suggest you to reserve your Medieval dinner in the Castle on 9th or 10th of August, where in addition to the best local dishes you will enjoy dancing, hunting and fighting typical of the time among knights dressed in armor to represent the events that marked the history of Alicante.
